Safety and Security

Prioritizing safety measures

At ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ, the safety and security of our students, staff, and visitors is our top priority. We are committed to creating a secure learning and working environment.

SECURE CAMPUSES

Each ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ campus has controlled entrances and surveillance systems to enhance safety during and after the school day. Our Security Team supports staff, students, and visitors in English and Khmer. ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ is preparing to implement upgrades to its security stations and entrances.

VISITORS

All staff and visitors must present photo identification, have a pre-booked appointment, and to sign in at an entrance on arrival. Visitors must wear their visitor badge at all times and be accompanied by a ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ staff member while on campus. ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ parents and registered caregivers must present and wear their ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ ID cards when on campus during the school day or on weekends.

EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS

Procedures are in place and regular emergency drills are organized to ensure that students and staff are prepared for a variety of situations. We have trained health services staff and AEDs at each campus. ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ families are required to keep their emergency contact information up to date in iSAMS.

PHOTOGRAPHY GUIDELINES

ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ is committed to respecting everyone’s privacy. ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ also has a responsibility to protect all students, including their personal information that could be used to harm them, in line with our child safeguarding procedures. As such, visitors, parents, and staff on ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ campuses must seek consent before:

  • Taking photos of other people’s children, other parents or ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ staff
  • Posting photos of other people’s children, other parents or ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ staff on social media
  • Taking photos of class lists or other school information with the names of students, teachers or staff
INCLEMENT WEATHER AND AIR QUALITY

ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ monitors inclement weather, including very hot days, stormy weather, and air quality. Although outdoor play and exercise are important for students of all ages, inclement weather or a reduction in air quality may warrant indoor recesses, as well as the cancellation or relocation of activities normally held outdoors.

TRAFFIC SLOWING MEASURES

Extensive traffic slowing measures have been implemented near Koh Pich Campus and Bassac Garden Campus. Speed bumps and staffed crossing points are in place.
